The service AMD provides is to assist industrial customers improve their processes and equipment to increase their productivity, safety and profitability. Our services usually include both an engineering component and a fabricating, assembly or technical service component. We are happy to provide only as much of either component as our customer really needs.
Almost all jobs done by AMD start with some engineering review whether it is a 15 minute walk through or a multi-phase analysis with customer or third party reviews and sign-offs.
Technical service can range from a simple adjustment of a mechanical drive to building, pre-testing, installing and starting up a complete production line.

Custom Machinery Solutions
AMD provides machinery engineering and design services whether we build the completed design or just provide drawings, analysis results or simply recommendations.
New Machinery Design
We have engineered machinery from a written description and photographs, providing complete assembly drawings and individual part details, which were subsequently built by our customer without our ever seeing the finished machine. We have designed complete machines for customers that we built and ran in our shop and subsequently delivered, installed and commissioned.
Existing Upgrade Planning
We have worked with customers that had a functioning production machine but needed to build a new machine including most of the features and capabilities of the old one, but incorporating new capabilities, technologies and lessons learned from experience with the old machine.
Machine Cloning
We have worked from old manual drawings and created a modern 3-D model and then new machining details for manufacturing copies of old machines.
We have also taken extensive measurement directly from an undocumented but functioning machine and created a 3-D model of the existing design. We then modified the model to include needed upgrades and produced the manufacturing details to implement them.
Mobile Services
AMD continues to add to our mobile technical services capabilities. As we have installed and serviced a wide variety of machines we found a need for more shop facilities at our field locations. Customer’s shop facilities varied in capability and availability. We therefore invested in a 24’ mobile shop truck which we have outfitted with:
- On board generator.
- Bridgeport milling machine.
- Mobile tool bench.
- Upright bandsaw.
- Bench grinder.
- Workbench
- Extensive hand and power tools.
Having this mobile capability allows us to provide faster and often more precise solutions to machinery repair. It also shortens the time required for machinery installation and commissioning.
